1/2 Day Food & Drink Tour

Glasgow is the third biggest city in the UK and is suitably cosmopolitan with many fantastic bars and restaurants throughout the city.

While many of these are within the City Centre and can be found strolling through the streets, there are a lot of hidden gems we’d recommend you visit.

  • Hop on at George Square (stop 1) until Merchant City (stop 3) where you can hop off to visit some of the areas many bars, restaurants and pavement cafes, as well as enjoy the many smaller, quaint shops the area has to offer.
  • Hop back on at stop 3 to head to SECC (stop 11) where you can not only see the stunning new Hydro concert venue but also head across the footbridge to Finneston, a regenerated area now buzzing with cafes, restaurants and bars of all varieties – from traditional Scottish bars complete with live music to fine dining restaurants featuring Scotland’s finest ingredients.
  • Hop back on at stop 11 and head to Byres Road (stop 15) in the heart of the bustling west end area of the city.  On Byres Road there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants including Oran Mor – home to ‘A play, a pie and a pint’.  Just off Byres Road is the pretty Ashton Lane, again home to a range of venues including a small independent cinema, restaurants and bars, such as the Ubiquitous Chip, which is home to fine dining, as well as a wonderful bar complete with open fire and a great range of whiskies.
  • Hop back on at stop 11 and then enjoy the rest of the tour, arriving at George Square to go and explore the city centre, enjoy dinner or visit some more great bars.
