How do I book a ticket for the City Sightseeing Glasgow tour?
You can book your tour online, or in person from our pavement team at Stop 1 George Square or Stop 1 of our Yellow Route at North Hannover Street (contactless or card), from your driver at any stop (cash or contactless) or from our partners at Visit Scotland Glasgow iCentre
Do you do discounts?
Discounts for groups of 15 or more for the 1 day Glasgow tour are available when booked through this website.
When will I receive my e-ticket (online bookings)?
You will receive your booking confirmation and e-ticket a few minutes after you have completed your transaction. Please take care to enter your email address correctly. If you have not received your e-ticket, please check your junk folder as it may have gone in there. If not, get in touch with our customer service team at info@citysightseeingglasgow.co.uk
Do I have to print my e-ticket (online bookings)?
You can present your e-ticket to your driver to board our tour bus either on paper or your smartphone. Both will scan.
Why have I only received one e-ticket for my group booking?
You will receive one e-ticket per booking, regardless of whether you have booked tickets for one person or 15 people. if you require individual tickets for large groups, these are available on request from info@citysightseeingglasgow.co.uk
About the Tour
Where do I start the tour?
Our Red tour departs from George Square (outside Costa) and our Yellow Tour from North Hannover Street (across the road from the side entrance of Queen Street Station) . However, you can board either tour at any stop.
What’s the last tour of the day?
The last tour of the day departs George Square at 1630 in spring, autumn and winter (October to mid May). In summer our tour frequency increases and is extended later into the evening. Please check our timetable for current bus times.
What is the frequency and tour times?
Our tour normally operates every 30 minutes from October to April and every 15 minutes in summer. Please note this is subject to change.
From the 03 May 2024 our red tour will run every 15 mins.
From 17 May 2024 Our yellow tour will depart every 30 mins.

Where does the tour stop?
The red route of City Sightseeing Glasgow tour has 21 key stops around Glasgow’s east, centre and west. These include landmarks such as Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Riverside Museum, Glasgow Cathedral, the shopping district and Glasgow Green.
Our new yellow route has 19 stops and explores more of Glasgow’s East and Southside. It stops at key attractions such as Tennent’s Brewery, Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium, Pollok Park for the Burrell Collection and Science Centre.
Is commentary provided on the tour?
We provide commentary on every tour, giving you an insight into Glasgow’s history, culture and people. From March to October live guides are available on every second red tour. Our guides are knowledgeable, passionate and bring their own sense of humour and anecdotes to their commentary. For this reason, they are frequently sited on Trip Advisor as the highlight of our tour.
Please note our yellow tour has a recorded commentary in English only
Multi-lingual recorded commentary in seven languages is available. We provide earphones for free. We also offer a music tour narrated by multi award winning singer songwriter Eddi Reader.
What languages is the tour commentary in?
Our recorded tour commentary is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish and Mandarin. Our Yellow tour is in english only at the moment, however in future this will be extended to cover more languages.
How long does the tour last?
Both tours last approximately 1 hour and 35, though this may vary due to traffic, road words and other factors.
Is the tour suitable for all ages?
Yes, our tour has something to offer everyone from young children to older folk.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Does your tour bus have a toilet onboard?
Unfortunately we do not have toilets onboard. However, there are plenty of toilets around our route at attractions, restaurants and public places. You can visit this site for a detailed map of all the public restrooms in Glasgow
Can I bring luggage onboard?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate luggage onboard our tours. We recommend you use one of the left luggage facilities around the city centre.
Are dogs allowed on tours?
Well behaved dogs are allowed on our tours. Dogs are not allowed to sit on the seats and, while travelling, must remain on a lead and be seated on the floor.
How do I make the most of the tour?
Based on customer feedback, we recommend you take our entire tour once in the morning to get to know Glasgow and decide which stops are of interest to you. You can then use your 1 day or 2 day ticket to hop on hop off around Glasgow’s attractions.
Is the route always the same?
Yes, we will always follow our tour route as laid out on our map. From time to time, if roads are closed or events are on in the city, we may take diversions. For up to date information, check out our service updates.
How do I recognise City Sightseeing bus stops?
City Sightseeing bus stops are easily recognisable by the red ‘City Sightseeing’ banner at the bottom of the flag.
Does the tour operate all year round?
Yes! We operate every day of the year except 25 and 26 December or 01 and 02 January.
What does hop on hop off or ‘hoho’ tour mean?
With your 1 day or 2 day Glasgow tour ticket, you can board any City Sightseeing Glasgow tour bus throughout the day. You can get on at any stop and board at any stop. Your ticket provides unlimited travel on our tours for the day.
