This summer it seemed like you couldn’t go far in Glasgow without bumping into oor pal Wullie. Brightly coloured statues popped up all over the city as part of Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail, a nationwide public art trail which aimed to raise awareness and funds for Scotland’s children’s hospital charities.

In support of the fundraiser we created our very own map for customers on our tour to find the statues between June and August 2019.

Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket trail in Glasgow was launched on one of our open top buses. Check out the highlights of the day on our Youtube channel.

As a partner of the trail, we also took part in Oor Selfie Challenge. The CSG team were given two hours to race across the city and get as many selfies with Oor Wullie statues as possible, competing with other teams of partners and sponsors. Despite the rain, the team managed to reach a whopping 23 statues. The day was documented and well received on our Twitter page.

The CSG team were delighted to win two prizes at the awards ceremony for Best Selfie Caption and first to the Take a Ride statue at Strathclyde University.

Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail raised more than £1.29m for three Scottish children’s charities and was a tremendous success. We were delighted to be part of it.
